Pastor Jim Dotson and Sister Johnnie Marie (Burkes) Dotson are originally from Shreveport, Louisiana. They have been married for 38 years. They have three daughters; Trinia, Tresla, and Tasha; two sons-in law, Lonnie Isaac and Cenard Fisher; three granddaughters; Triana, Ceniyah and Skylar and a grandson Nicholas.

Pastor Dotson served in the Air Force for 35 years and achieved the rank of Colonel. During his military career, the family was stationed in numerous parts of the United States and completed an overseas tour in Japan.

Rev. Dotson and family joined Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in 1991, where he has served in a number of areas. God called him to the ministry in 1993 and he was ordained in 1995. He has served as Associate Minister and also as Interim Pastor of Trinity from 1995-1996.

A few past times of our first family are traveling, praising God, listening to gospel music, and doing the work of the Lord. Pastor Dotson enjoys reading, golf and basketball. Singing and shopping are Sister Dotson's hobbies.
